Toastmaster Project 1 - Self introduction

My name is Lim Ming Yen, married, mother of two kids.

i'm born at Johor Bahru, study at Malaysia, working at Singapore

i'm work as planner, production planner. My job function is to give priority of customer order to the production. with that, every customer order are being take care, on time shipment with quality always is our company objective.

I'm traveling daily to Singapore, by bus.

It is a bit tough as the traveling time is long. 2 hours per way is the minimum.

The total working hours which I included the journey time is longer than others.

Although is tough but it is worth to do so. Why i said so?

Remember, earlier on I had mentioned, I'm mother of 2 kids.

As a mother, of course. we would like to together with the children all times, witness their first milestone, like first time to sit down, walk and even the first time they call you mother.

Traveling daily allows me to take care both career and family at the same time.

You will not have the second chances to play the mother role in your kids' childhood.

Since 2 out of 3 my times is spend commit to work, but I still able to do the things that I like. For example, attend toast master meeting.

To attend toast master meeting successfully, I have to give credit to one person - my husband.

He encourage the things that I want to do and help me to take care the kids when i not around.

He is a good man, he bring me to travel before we have kids. With kids, he still continue doing so, like we just went to Japan 2 months ago.

We played hard but we also study hard. The study is not attending class at school but is attending the seminar, regardless is financial related seminar, personality or even the parenting.

We also do self-study by reading books / magazine. Remember, reading can take you anywhere; it shall always be our one of the lifetime learning.

is fortunate that start the relation with him since pre-university time. With him, we start from none to now, have a small family, car and recently we just bought our dream house.

I can imagine that I'm cooking in the dream house. i have interest to cook but yet professional. I also can imagine I'm doing yoga while the kids are doing their homework. Of course, since we love books, we shall have a reading room as well.

I'm a ordinary women, no big ambitious.

Perhaps when the kids grow up in the future, i can go to materialize the dream - travel around the world. Hopefully I'm still fit by that time.

At the age of 32, I'm grateful that what i have now. My motto at this age is " when you good to others, you are best to yourself".

Project 1 是大约4-6分钟。抱着讲多错多的心态，不多说。没想到我的评委竟然给我其中的评语 是：the speech is more on the life after marriage. Since the time is allow, may talk more about yourself

演讲这篇时，一个对手缺席了；另一个超时。所以我不战而胜，哈哈。小确幸！
